Exploring caves full of nasty critters becomes a terrifying experience. Every change you make to the world is saved, so it starts to feel like a real, living and breathing place. Before you know it, you've crafted a robust set of armor, developed some powerful weapons to protect yourself, and even built a house. It feels empty and lonely, but then you start collecting items, crafting (combining things together to make other things), exploring the various landscapes (beaches, jungles, arctic tundras, and mountainous highlands), and finding non-player characters in villages. Minecraft was created on the fly using algorithms, creating a giant, procedurally generated world, in which you were plonked at a random point with no particular goals or equipment you just had to explore and survive with what you could find.įor the first few minutes of Minecraft, you wonder what the point is. Yes, the game was hyped to ridiculous levels during its glory days, and some players spent arguably an unhealthy amount of time in their fantasy worlds building enormous and highly intricate constructions, but it was still something very special. It has the best stats of silver and bronze armor. This armor provides protection that is equal to silver armor, and durability that equals the bronze armor. This armor provides better protection than bronze armor, but is slightly less durable. Bronze is more durable than silver armor, but does not offer quite as much protection. This is the first of the three armors that are linked together with their stats. Steel armor is a mid-way armor, not overly expensive, but not cheap either, offering fairly good protection and durability. Both Tin and Copper armor have the same stats. There is a protection bar above the health bar, indicating how strong your armor protection is.Īnother fairly weak armor, stronger and more durable than training armor, and somewhat more expensive. When wearing an armor, the Hud also changes. When wearing a bronze armor the chance of reverting damage is 30% This chance is a percentage calculation, based on the total Heal value of the armor parts worn. The use value is noted for all armor pieces on their specific page. When the total wear of an item reaches 65535 (max 2-byte value), the piece of armor breaks. Every time a piece of armor takes damage, the use value is added to the total wear. The use factor defines how fast it wears off. When an armor takes damage, it wears off. An armor only protects you when you're wearing it. ![]()
